I love the process of planning, creating mind maps and mood boards and being able to see your vision come to life throughout a project.
My main mediums are photography and film.
A2 Final Project
I created 3 zines for the exam unit of my A Level Art.  It is a 10-week process of planning and testing, ending in a 15 hour exam to complete your final piece.
chose the stimulus of ‘Habitat’ (given by the exam board) which I interpreted as home, and my project explored the relationship that teenagers (17-18) have with their bedroom. Most 17-18 year olds still live with their parents, so their bedroom is a small pocket of space within their parents house that they can personalise and decorate however they want. My aim was to photograph 3 bedrooms with quite different aesthetics and the people within them.
I also wrote questions about the relationship they have with their bedroom and the objects within them which I got them to handwrite answers to, this added an extra personal element to each zine.
I collated the images and text and presented it in the form of 3 zines. I bound the zines with embroidery thread in 3 different colours, 1 for each person, to hold the pages together and add a further personal touch.

Cece Alana Inspired Shoot:
I completed this shoot for an artist research page I created on the photographer Cece Alana, who is a big inspiration of mine. I attempted to photograph in her style but with a more moody/dark aesthetic compared to her very sunny/beachy  images.
Shooting on a Lomo film camera:
These images are from a shoot I did to test photographing on a film camera and photographing a person in their space, in preparation for my zines.
AS Level Art Final Piece:
I created a short film / music video as my final piece for first year A Level Art. An extension of Alone But Not Lonely, but exploring how two people who enjoy spending time and doing things alone discover the joy in doing those things as a pair.
AS Level Art Interim Piece: Alone But Not Lonely
I created two series of photos, presented as  film strips, that depict a girl doing the things she prefers to do alone; such as listening to music and playing the saxophone.

Edward Hopper Inspired Photoshoot:
I completed this shoot for an artist research page I created on the artist Edward Hopper. My main aim was to capture the feeling of loneliness that his paintings have, and use a similar colour palette of deep reds, greens and browns.
Wes Anderson Inspired Photoshoot:
I completed this shoot for an artist research page I created on the filmmaker Wes Anderson. My aim was to make my images appear as if they were stills from one of his films. I focused on creating symmetry and using pastel colour palettes.
